SENTiment was founded by two kids of the ’80s and ‘90s who never stopped believing that words should be kept.
We grew up when birthday cards from grandparents mattered, handwritten letters arrived from relatives, and getting a folded note passed to you at your locker could be the highlight of your entire week. You’d read it three times, rush home, and tuck it into a shoebox — because somehow, even then, you knew some words were worth saving.
Then life got faster.
Connection moved to texts, DMs, voice notes and disappearing threads. At one point, the two of us were communicating across eight different digital platforms — more ways to reach each other than ever before, yet almost none of it designed to last.
And maybe that’s what made us notice what was missing.
We were two people getting to know each other largely through words — stories, messages, memories, thoughts sent back and forth across the miles. The technology made it incredibly easy to communicate, but not necessarily to keep what mattered.
That became the idea behind SENTiment.
We created SENTiment to capture life’s little connection points — the I’m proud of you, the I miss you, the story you never want someone to forget, the ordinary Tuesday thought that turns out not to be ordinary at all — and give those words somewhere to live beyond a screen.
Modern life gave us a thousand ways to say something.
SENTiment gives the important ones a way to stay.
